ACTIVITY
​**OPTIONAL** Princeton Plasma Physics Lab Tour​ - A shuttle will be available to provide transportation from the conference to Princeton University's campus in order for attendees to have the opportunity to tour the Plasma Physics Lab located there.  Attendees should check in at SERC between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, and the shuttle will leave at 12:00 PM.  The shuttle will bring attendees back to the conference by 5:00 PM.  If you are interested in attending this tour, fill out this form.  Please note that we will have to limit the tour to 40 attendees on a first come first served basis.  Reach out to cuwip@temple.edu if you have any questions.

Welcoming Dinner - Guests will be provided dinner at La Viola West just around the corner from the hotel.  Hors d'oeuvres will be provided and guests are welcome to Opening remarks will be made by the Dean and Associate Dean to the College as well as a representative of APS.

Plenary Talk: Status of Women in Physics​ - Laura Lopez

*Concurrent Workshop​ #1

Lunch will be served buffet style in two waves.  Attendees will be given a lunch ticket that will tell them whether they eat during the first or second half of the lunch period.  During the other half of the lunch period, attendees will have the option of signing up for and going on lab tours or engaging with undergraduate or graduate poster presentations.

STEP UP for Women - STEP UP is a national movement to provide high school physics teachers with resources to reduce barriers and inspire young women to major in physics.  The goal is to increase the representation of women among physics bachelor’s degrees and begin to shift deep-seated cultural views about who does physics.

Keynote Speaker - Andrea Liu will be presenting simultaneously through videochat to every CUWiP site and will be taking questions from each attendees from each site.

Dinner and a Movie (+ Other Activities) ​- Buffet-style dinner will be offered to attendees and they will be free to eat and take part in various sessions that include Physics of Music, Physics of Knitting and Crocheting, and a movie will be shown.
